Course Description:
The Students that are dance majors recieve top quality instruction in a variety of areas through twelve levels of dance including: tap, ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, lyrical, pointe, cultural dancing, theatre dance, and period danceing. CVMS students have the chance to participate in Open House, the SCPA Extravaganza, District Dance Concert, Spring Concert, and Dance Day. CVHS Students have the opportunity to participate in the Winter and Spring Dance Concerts, District Dance Concert, andDistric Dance Workshop. The Dance Department here at the SCPA have a very special partnership with working prfessionals associated with the San Diego Ballet. The dance department consists of 12 levels of dance including the award winning Dance Force competition team. In their two period block of class they learn tap, ballet, and jazz styles. The dancer's have the opportunity to show their progressions in their annual Winter and Spring Dance Concerts.

This advanced performance ensemble is involved in competitions, community performances, and conventions. They Travel around the country competing against other High School Dance teams. Prerequisite:
Audition Only Group.
