Course Description:
The SCPA Guitar Program offers students a number of things that no other school has to offer. Students at both CVMS and CVHS are taught by Jeff Williams, Who majored in Jazz Studies as a guitarist. Mr. Williams has been a professional guitarist for over 30 years, playing a wide variety of styles. CVMS is the only school in our district to recieve a generous donation of Taylor guitars through the San Diego Music Awards. SCPA guitar students concentrate on music reading skills and technique while learning a wide range of musical styles including Folk, Pop, Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Classical. Between both CVMS and CVHS, we serve over 300 guitar students in our program.
